The Central North Carolina DX Chasers have put on Field Day for 24 consecutive years Its first start was in Class 1A Battery with call sign N4DAZ in 1983 finishing 3rd with 684 QSO's. In 1991 it placed 2nd with 679 QSO's still in 1A Battery Class.
Most recently the group has used more power and entered the Class 1A under the call sign N4OL. This decade starting in 2000, it had finished 8th, 7th, 5th, 7th, 7th,3rd, and 1st respectively. The group has always emphasized CW to take advantage of scoring.
1500 QSO's have been accomplished for the last 3 years with 1527 in 2004, 1540 in 2005 and 1520 in 2006. In 2006 first place was accomplished with 20 less QSO's than the previous year. The difference was Bonus Points.
